The genuine Vornado® MD1-0027 Advanced Carbon Filter Replacement replaces the carbon filter that comes in Vornado Silverscreen™ Enhanced HEPA PCO Air Purifiers (models PCO200, PCO300 and PCO500).

Vornado® replacement MD1-0027 filter's honeycomb design and carbon pellets combine to reduce odors and gases, and capture larger airborne particles before they reach the HEPA filter, assuring the HEPA maintains its 99.97% efficiency.

For peak performance from your Vornado® Silverscreen™ Enhanced HEPA PCO Air Purifier - use Genuine Vornado® Advanced Carbon Replacement Filters. Change carbon filter once a year, depending on use. Package contains one (1) Advanced Carbon Filter.

Important to note - The Vornado PCO series air purifiers come with two different types of pre-filters – permanent and replaceable:

Replacement Pre-filters - Non-washable - Must be replaced

The Advanced Carbon Pre-Filter is made in a honeycomb design and utilizes carbon pellets for better absorption of household odors, gases, and harmful VOCs. It is essential that you change this filter once a year with continuous use, depending upon you environment. Vornado PCO series air purifiers will alert you when it's time to replace the filter(s) by illuminating an indicator on the unit's control panel after 9,000 hours of run time (about a year).

Remember that the carbon filter's service life is related to the volume of air that passes through the purifier and the amount of gaseous contaminants in the air. If your indoor air has unusually high levels of smoke, cooking odors, chemical fumes, and the like, the pre-filter's service life may be shortened.

Do NOT immerse the Advanced Carbon Pre-Filters in water - they are NOT washable.

PERMANENT PRE-FITLER(S)
Vacuum or Wash to Clean

The large Permanent Pre-Filter is the first filter you see when you remove the unit's front panel. Its job is to capture large particles (100 microns and larger), thus preserving the life of the HEPA and Advanced Carbon filters that follow. Periodically inspect the Permanent Pre-Filter(s), and rinse with clean water or vacuum using your vacuum's brush attachment to keep your machine performing well and to save on other filter replacements.
