These little gems take water I would never have thought was there out of the air in my living room and bedroom.
I have large dehumidifiers for my basement and loft, from achooallergy, of course, and they do a wonderful job in our wet coastal environment. But I wanted something more silent for the real living areas--these are truly "whisper quiet" and pull a lot of water out of these rooms--important for my family's health and the health of our house.
Achooallergy has long been my go-to source for air purifiers and dehumidifiers. Never has been anything short of excellent.

 Superb help for small spaces

The Eva-Dry 1100 Petite Dehumidifier does a solid job in my master bedroom bath. Pulls a great deal of humidity out over the course of a few days. Easy to remove tray, easy dumping. I think it would be optimal in small humid closets though as this unit is overrun by the constant showering we do in the small bathroom, still it made an improvement in my master bedroom bath, perhaps this plus an adsorption unit would be optimal for me.

Better than I expected

I have been living in a house just two blocks away from the beach. Been sleeping in the same wet and moldy room for more than 8 yrs now. Everything feels sticky and wet. The room gets moldy behind my bed and other furniture. When the weather is extremely cold, all the walls in my room get really wet, like someone took a very hot shower in my room. Don't know why I didn't think of getting a dehumidifier until now. Searched online and found this item. Smaller than I expected. Since this is my first dehumidifier, I didn't expect a lot from it. Been using this machine for about 2 months now. You can definitely hear the fan noise when the room is completely quiet, otherwise you can barely hear it. I usually turn on the machine in the morning when I'm at work and turn it off when I go to bed. This machine can suck in about .5in of water in 12-18 hrs everyday. I can feel the things in my room are drier. The bad moldy smell in still in the room, probably because it's an old house and the molds are trapped under the carpet. The walls and furniture are not wet anymore. I think the only way to get rid of the smell is to get rid of the carpet. Final words are, this machine works better than I expected. Low noise and sucks in more water than I thought. 5 stars rating is about right. Hope this message helps those who are looking for a dehumidifier.

Q1: Does the eva-dry 1100 work on a 12 volt supply? Can I use it plugged into a cigarette lighter outlet in my rv?
A: It should, and yes. The AC/DC adapter supplies the unit with a 9V supply, so even on an adapter in an RV, it should work with no issue.
