Eva-Dry 1100 Petite Dehumidifier

This Eva-Dry 1100 Petite Dehumidifier uses Peltier technology (no compressor), which makes it smaller, quieter, and more affordable than conventional dehumidifiers. Designed to decrease dampness and humidity and prevent mold and mildew growth in small to mid-sized rooms, the Eva-Dry 1100 Petite Dehumidifier is perfect for laundry rooms and bathrooms. After its plugged in, the Eva-Dry 1100 Petite Dehumidifier quietly extracts moisture from the air and stores it in a spill-proof reservoir that automatically shuts off when its full. An indicator light lets you know when its time to empty the reservoir.

  Petite Dehumidifier
Reviewed by: Allergy sufferer from Georgia

Haven't had very long, but so far it's great! Looks attractive & fits easily on nightstand. Using in a room larger than rated for--still has lowered humidity level 10-12%. Green light is very bright at night, but I just turn to point away. Is good for signaling when needs to be emptied. In my home, has to be emptied about every 3-4 days. Automatic cut-off works well. Does exactly what I wanted it to do.
  Tiny little monster
Reviewed by: Mold is bad from Rochester, NY

Eva-Dry is tiny and cute but she's a beast! This little device is in our bedroom 172 sq. ft., even though it's rated for a much smaller area. This is our first dehumidifier, so I wanted a small, portable one. I planned to use it both in the bedroom and bathroom if needed. It's great. It's quiet--no louder than a small fan--and does its job. I put a hygrometer right in front so I can turn it on/off as needed. One night, it went from 53% to 42%, but I haven't been keeping track of averages or anything--I also don't use it every night. I don't care for the bright green light when I'm sleeping, but it's my fault--I put little Eva-Dry on my nightstand. Some electrical tape over the light or moving it will solve that.
The GO-TO Source for air treatments
Reviewed by: COASTAL HOMEOWNER from YACHATS, OREGON

These little gems take water I would never have thought was there out of the air in my living room and bedroom. I have large dehumidifiers for my basement and loft, from achooallergy, of course, and they do a wonderful job in our wet coastal environment. But I wanted something more silent for the real living areas--these are truly "whisper quiet" and pull a lot of water out of these rooms--important for my family's health and the health of our house. Achooallergy has long been my go-to source for air purifiers and dehumidifiers. Never has been anything short of excellent.

Customer Q & A

Q1: Do you have to close windows and doors when you run in a bedroom?
A: Windows, yes. Doors, no but you should. Particularly with a small model like that, if the area is confined it can more easily remove humidity in that space. When there's a freer flow of air, it can take it longer to reduce the humidity level since, theoretically, more humid air from another space can freely intermix. If you leave the windows open, this problem will likely be much more difficult for this model to tackle. The Petite works well in bathrooms and tighter spaces. Depending on the size of the bedroom and the extent of the moisture problem, it may be undersized for your use. It could work for you space just fine, but keeping the windows open will make it more difficult to get the humidity level down. Hope that helps!

Q2: Does the eva-dry 1100 work on a 12 volt supply? Can I use it plugged into a cigarette lighter outlet in my rv?

A: It should, and yes. The AC/DC adapter supplies the unit with a 9V supply, so even on an adapter in an RV, it should work with no issue.

AchooAllergy.com Customer Testimonials
The Ebac CD35 has a no nonsense durable design, and is very quiet, free of rattles. Achoo Allergy expedited the order and we received the unit in a very timely manner. I would recommend this unit for anyone needing a smaller capacity, well built dehumidifier.
