The Miele Cat & Dog Kit includes:
STB 101 - Mini Turbobrush is the standard Miele vacuum attachment for removing stubborn pet hair and debris from upholstered furniture, carpeted
steps, and any other area where your pets frequent, but your vacuum's brushroll won't reach. Air driven and easy to clean, the bristles of the STB 101 remove pet
hair that often sticks in the fibers of cloth, carpet and upholstery.
SFD 20 Short - Similar to the standard flexible crevice tool, the Flexible Crevice Tool (short) provides 14" of flexible reach. It is ideal
for narrow crevices, between cushions, around pet crates and anywhere dirt, allergens, and pet hair can hide, but cannot be cleaned with Miele's standard
attachments or tools.
SHV 10 - As a new Miele accessory, the Hygiene Cap performs two functions. The active charcoal pellets inside the cap
adsorbs odors and the cap itself seals the canister.
This allows you to store your Miele canister and hose separately.
AAC 50 - Ideal for pet owners, the Active Air Clean Filter features more activated carbon (than the standard HEPA filter) combined with Active Clean
technology to adsorb odors commonly associated with pets.

Miele Cat & Dog Accessory Kit
For anyone with pets and a Miele vacuum cleaner, the Miele Cat & Dog Accessory Kit is a great addition for cleaning around your
home. The included components are specifically suited for dealing with not only pet hair but also pet odors. Being a dog owner, this kit
was a welcomed addition since I own an S4 Miele without and electric powerbrush. After testing around the house, this is what I found.
What I like about the Miele Cat & Dog Kit
I've always been a big fan of a carrying case, even more so since Miele changed many of their vacuums to the VarioClip (to hold mini accessories). It is durable,
easy to close and best of all, it keeps your attachments and accessories all in one place.
Of each tool in the Cat & Dog Kit, my favorite is the STB-101. This mainstay accessory is ideal for removing pet hair from upholstered furniture and
carpeted steps. One of the best features with this accessory is that it can be easily opened up to clean any hair or debris that may accumulate around the internal
components. Powered by the suction of your vacuum, the STB-101 is perfect for extracting tangled or entwined pet hair.
The Flexible Crevice Tool is also a great tool to have for general cleaning but particularly if you have pets. Pet hair can accumulate between cushions, and along edges
and crevices where a floor tool cannot reach. And the soft, flexible nature of this tool means it has some give and can bend in hard to reach areas.
By far, the most valuable tool in this kit is the filter. Though it is not true HEPA standard, it packs much more activated charcoal to adsorb odors. As any
pet owner who vacuums knows, your vacuum can quickly smell... gamey when you're cleaning up after a pet who lives in the home.
Going along with this theme, the Hygiene cap also works to keep pet odors trapping inside the canister while you store the vacuum.
While this did not apply to me personally, for those who store the hose and canister separately, this cap allows you to store the canister without the worry of a vacuum
bag that smells like your pet, stinking up your closet.
What I do not like about the Miele Cat & Dog Kit
For me the Hygiene cap wasn't very helpful, but again, that's just me. The only real complaint about this kit is possibly the price. For some, $150 is a
little expensive for an accessory kit.
For pet owners, the Cat & Dog Kit is a handy set of accessories to better control pet hair and odors in your home. Each component has a specific
use and provides value by expanding your cleaning ability and targeting the specific concerns of pet owners. Though the price may be prohibitive to some,
the Cat & Dog Kit is an excellent addition to any home with four legged friends.
9/2/12 The Dyson DC24 is the most amazing vacuum I have ever tried! It is so light-weight and easy to use but has three times the strength of any vacuum I have ever handled. I love it!
